about lisa
Personal
Lisa Sandlin is a mother, wife, daughter, business woman, and a professor of architecture and interior design. Lisa assisted in the care of her grandmother realizing that the typical house does not allow us the ability to maintain our independence or permit assistance when we reach that stage of our life. At the age of thirty-two she enrolled in the School of Architecture and Interior Design at the University of Cincinnati with a mission to learn how to design a better home. After eight years of education and research she set out to change the world of residential design.
Teaching is her passion and she has always incorporated it into her design practice. By educating her clients throughout the design process, together they have created houses that work now and will continue to meet the changing needs as life progresses. Lisa believes in what she terms as “ethical design’ which incorporates her philosophy of inclusive design with eco-friendly or sustainable design. These homes are extremely energy efficient, functional and empowering as well as providing the comfort and beauty one would expect in a custom designed home. Experience
